Daily Prayer for December 15, 2019

Prayer: Glorious God in heaven - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - we bless your name today. You are the alone creator of all things. You made all that we see and cannot see in the space of six days, and all very good. Yet, man, in his rebellion towards you, fell in that temple-Garden that you made. They sinned against your revealed will for them. As a result, we have inherited that sinful nature, and we sin. Yet, you have provided a Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, your only begotten Son, to rescue us from this life of sin and misery. We are thankful to you that you grant us forgiveness in Christ. We thank you for the compassionate high priest who sympathizes with our weaknesses and struggles. We thank you that you have promised to bring us to your heavenly rest.

Grant to us your favor, O Lord! Be merciful to your people today. Help those who are weak and struggling. Be merciful to the sick and suffering. Remember your promises to your people. Remember your love for them and that you promised to be with them. Grant to us all that we need this day. We pray this in Christs' name. Amen.
