Daily Prayer for February 25, 2020

Praying through the Westminster Shorter Catechism Prayer 2 Westminster Shorter Catechism Q1 Q. 1. What is the chief end of man? A. Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.

Prayer: Our God in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we bow before your majesty today to bless your glorious Name and give thanks to you for revealing yourself to us and giving us your divine will for our lives. We thank you for making us in your image and creating us to glorify you in all that we do. We praise you that you are a God that we can enjoy. We thank you that as we seek to do all that you have commanded, we enjoy your presence now, and look forward to the fullness of it in the future—grant to us a greater desire to love you and to serve you. Though we are creatures of dust, we are thankful that you have determined to save your people from sin. We are grateful that you have promised to be our God. Help us, by your Spirit, to look to you as our Father, who loves us and desires to bless and help us.

We pray that you would cause all men everywhere to do your will as the angels do in heaven. May you, our God, be pleased to glorify yourself through all that you decree. Be pleased to do exceedingly, abundantly beyond anything we can imagine or think or ask. Thank you for hearing us, through Christ, the Mediator, and Savior. Amen.
