Daily Prayer for February 3, 2020

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, you who stand ready and able to help your people, the only sovereign of heaven and earth, we adore your majesty today. We come to offer our prayers to you, knowing that you hear us and are mindful of the cries of your children. We adore you because there is no one so lovely as you. You have redeemed your people by opening their eyes and their ears to the truth of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is your only begotten Son, and we praise you for so great a salvation. He is our high priest, who sympathizes with our weaknesses. He is the prophet, priest, and king, who continues to intercede for us today.

We confess to you, Father, that our hearts are often focused on things of this earth instead of the things above. We confess to you that, like sheep, we go astray. We humbly ask that you would forgive us and help us as you have promised to do through the eternal Spirit. Grant to us more love and zeal for you, your Word, and your kingdom. Help us, today, to live it before your face in ways that are pleasing to you. We pray this in Christ's glorious Name. Amen.
